A patient & visitor app for Nebraska Methodist — concept summary
A single, friendly app that walks your patients and visitors to the right room, surfaces their visit and coverage clearly, puts every hospital service one tap away, and answers questions with an AI helper that doesn't just talk — it guides. Built on the same proven platform behind our school "Hub" apps, re-themed for healthcare.
Turn-by-turn indoor directions to any room, floor, or building — step-free routes, parking, and "take me to my appointment."
The patient's appointments, care team, insurance on file, and an estimated cost — in plain language, pulled securely from your records.
An agentic assistant that finds things, routes you, and (signed in) checks your visit — plus a curated hub of every hospital link.
You asked whether we can use APIs to serve insurance and other private information. That's exactly the right architecture — with one honest correction: an API doesn't move health data "outside" HIPAA. It stays protected wherever it goes. What the right design does do is keep that data inside your systems:
Net effect: real patient value, with the smallest possible privacy footprint. Crucially, the hub, wayfinding, and a general AI helper carry no patient data at all — so we can launch those fast while the patient-data piece goes through approvals.
Branded home, alerts, links directory, general AI helper, and wayfinding (pick-your-start, no hardware). Web + mobile. Low risk, high visibility.
Add a true "you are here" with Bluetooth/Wi-Fi positioning, and "navigate me to my appointment."
Secure sign-in to show coverage, appointments & estimates — gated on EHR access, a BAA, and hardened hosting.
The attached feedback form walks through all of this — please fill in what you can.
Open the Demo, try the Wayfinder and the helper, then send back the feedback form. From there we'll scope a Phase 1 proposal and timeline. Questions? sheiss94@gmail.com.
